Kasa General Contractor (kasaentrepreneurgeneral.ca) is committed to protecting the personal information of the people who visit our website and contact us about their projects. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and the rights you have over it, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

Information we collect

We only collect the personal information you choose to provide and the technical information described in the cookies section below.

• Contact and evaluation forms: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and the message describing your project.
• Direct communications: information you share with us by phone or email while we discuss your project.
• Technical data: anonymous usage statistics collected through analytics cookies, only if you consent to them.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide for one purpose: responding to your request. That includes contacting you about your project, scheduling discovery calls and site visits, preparing quotes and following up on your file. We do not use your information for any purpose that is incompatible with the reason you gave it to us without first obtaining your consent.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on page and general traffic sources.

Until you accept, consent is set to “denied” by default (Google Consent Mode): no analytics cookie is placed on your device and no identifier that could recognise you from one visit to the next is created. Google only receives an anonymous, cookieless measurement of the page viewed. If you accept, analytics cookies are enabled and measurement becomes complete.

You can change your mind at any timeby clicking “Privacy preferences” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing your consent is as simple as giving it, and takes effect immediately.

Analytics data is aggregated and does not allow us to personally identify you. We do not use advertising cookies, we never sell any data and we do not track you across other websites.

How long we keep your information

We keep the information from your request for as long as necessary to respond to it and, if you become a client, for the duration of our business relationship and the legal retention periods that apply to construction contracts, warranties and tax records. Once this information is no longer required, it is securely destroyed.

Sharing of your information

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. Your information is only accessible to the members of our team who need it to handle your request, and to the technical service providers listed below, who act solely on our instructions and are contractually bound to protect it. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Service providers and transfers outside Quebec

Some of our technology providers process or host data outside Quebec, mainly in the United States. Before entrusting them with any information, we make sure they offer adequate protection and that a contractual framework is in place.

• Vercel (United States) — website hosting and technical logs.
• Resend (United States) — delivery of the emails generated by our forms (your name, email, phone number and message).
• Google (United States) — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, enabled only with your consent.

Security

We apply reasonable security measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure, including secure hosting, encrypted transmission of form submissions and restricted access within our team.

Your rights

Under Quebec law, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• withdraw your consent to the use of your information at any time;
• receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability);
• request the deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations;
• file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you believe your rights have not been respected.
